What advice would you give to a student who wanted to follow in your footsteps
I tried something entrepreneurial a few years after college and again 16 years after college. I don`t know that there`s an ideal time to start a company, but I think the skills you can acquire working for someone else`s company and more importantly the relationships you build over time can be big assets for an entrepreneur who must tackle a lot of varied challenges.
What PROFESSIONAL experience(s) had the greatest developmental impact you?
Being a research analyst and spending a lot of time analyzing internet companies taught me to think critically and evaluate an opportunity as an investor would.

Keep your network alive, and get involved in a community of entrepreneurs. They can be an amazing resource for vendor leads, contract language, emotional support and a key source of knowledge to fill in the gaps on areas where your functional expertise falls short.
